After graduating Teen Challenge in 2015 Mike answered God's call to a new ministry assignment in Capitol Heights, MD.

 

This same time, Shari was responding to God's leading to come off the missions field in Spain where she was serving survivors of sex trafficking with Project Rescue.

 

Soon after returning to their home state they met while serving in the youth ministry at Cornerstone Church in Bowie, MD. It wasn't long before their first conversation led to their first hanging out "as friends." A few black coffees and chai-tea lattes later they found themselves on a beach in Mexico where they were married in June of 2017.

Aiella Rhema Adaeze Badolato, their "whirlwind," joined the Badolato Crew in October of 2018. Yes... they know that is a lot of vowels. Alessio Louis Nnamdi Badolato, who won't be able to spell his name until college, joined the madness in July of 2021.

 

The Badolatos enjoy cooking, Netflix and escaping to the beach whenever the opportunity presents itself.
